The inaugural Wichita County Back to School Bash last year was such a hit that we brought it back a second year. More than 100 Bigs, Littles and families showed up to celebrate the start of the new school year with carnival games, door prizes, a picnic lunch, a deejay, a bounce house, face painters and as much fun as you can dance to at Lucy Park.
We even had guest appearances by Blue Bear (from Blue Cross Blue Shield) and McGruff the Crime Dog
Thank you to program generalist Heather Heard for masterminding the event, and to all our board members and volunteers who helped out. Large contingents of volunteers arrived from our valued community partners at Blue Cross Blue Shield and Sheppard Air Force Base.
